An opportunity has arisen to work at our oak framing construction site based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. At Made in Oak we design and make traditional oak frames and structures for commercial projects and private homes and gardens

Full-time – 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday
Permanent (subject to passing a 3-month probation period)
Due to expansion Made in Oak are looking to recruit an individual with a good knowledge of Sketch Up to produce basic designs for quoting. In addition, we use Dietrichs and CAD software to create workshop drawings and machine control files from supplied and in-house designs. Knowledge of these would be desirable but not essential to the right candidate

Job description:
- Operating software to generate three-dimensional computer models and machine control files for structural timber frames
- Liaising with clients and staff to evolve concept drawings to produce final designs for frame fabrication
- Working with the team, you must be able to manage multiple projects of a bespoke nature
- Communicating with architects, engineers, other designers, site operatives and clients during the process of timber frame design through to construction
- Using company systems to keep records of all discussions and drawings and documents/drawings received/issued
- Working to deadlines to meet production schedules

- Experienced in designing timber frame buildings (preferable)
- Skilled at using Sketch Up or timber design software (essential)
- Confident in your abilities to produce accurate detailed work
- Flexible, reliable, and keen to work own your own initiative and as part of a team
- Able to liaise with customers with design and drawing enquiries
- Experienced at project managing builds from concept forwards
- Keen to work to a high level of detail to provide quality builds
- Able to prioritise actions in order of importance
- You must be eligible to work in the UK
