Bespoke Design & Traditional Oak Frame Construction
We use traditional joinery designs and techniques to produce our oak frames from freshly sawn (green) oak and our workshop and office are powered by renewable energy.
The techniques we employ are thousands of years old and we still use oak pegs as the primary method of holding the joints together. It is this history and our knowledge of the behaviour of unseasoned oak that sets our work apart from standard joinery.

Sustainability
We only buy oak from reputable suppliers who trade with FSC or PEFC certified timbers. We feel very strongly that the wood we use must be from managed woodlands to encourage woodland management skills. It is also important to us that trees are replanted for future generations and for the wildlife that is reliant on these precious ecosystems today. Our workshop is also run with 100% Renewable Energy and we recycle all recyclable waste. Wood offcuts are used as firewood to heat the workshop, the sawdust/shavings are used as animal bedding on the next door farm or pelleted for heating and we run two 100% electric vehicles. |
