Inspiration
One structure, four ways...
3. Make an entranceLead people! Make an entrance by defining an opening and direct people where you want them. We make improvements to our homes and often we make internal alterations that mean we no longer use the old front door. Define a new entrance or pathway with an arch and focus your visitors to the right entrance. Similarly this technique can be used to define difference spaces within your garden too. |
4. Cover a walkwayPut three arches in a line and make a statement!
By placing several arches over a pathway you can use them to create a pergola. Plant the arches with interesting climbers that will give you interest in the growing season but when they die down in winter the pergola will give you important visual interest out of season. If you have sloping ground these arches are particularly useful as you can set each one at different levels but still get the pergola effect. |
